MAC: Firewire Capture Software
MAC: Firewire Capture Software In this tutorial we show two free software to use in order to capture video footage from a firewire device. These are free alternatives for your Mac computer. Please note in order to use the Apple SDK software you will need to already have the Apple developer tools installed to taked advantage of it. This can also be done using Quicktime Pro, Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Express, and even iMovie 09 if you so choose to use that.

Loved reading this post, do you also have some sort of newsletter?
Thanks, but no I do not have any type of newsletter.
Sorry for the double post, but im trying to read this blog through RSS and its not working – any ideas?
What browser & OS are you using that it’s not showing up for you. I use Safari on Mac OS X so for me it shows up correctly, but Firefox will show it in a different format due to the way that it works with rss pages.
i need to capture video via firewire with the time and date using a mac. what software has the time and date feature?
-thanks
Final Cut Pro has timecode,. but some camera models have the timecode embedded on them for the videos.
