MAC OS X – Split n Join Files
MAC OS X – Split n Join Files, can be done in many different ways. Using freeware & non-freeware applications. Now to split files into .RAR format on MAC OS X there are two apps I know of which can do this one is terminal based from http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm called RAROSX not free, or a free option is SimplyRar from http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/21430 please note that this free version is no longer supported. Now those are just a few options if you really need to create .RAR file & split them.
Now let’s get to the apps at hand that we will be using, they are as follows.

Split & Concat FREE http://www.xs4all.nl/~loekjehe/Split&Concat/
Stuffit Expander FREE Version http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/stuffit/index.html
BetterZip & Split&Concat will allow us to split as well as combine files togehter, while Stuffit Expander will allow us to combine files only that are in parts.
YemuZip will allow us to zip files for both MAC & PC. So check out the tutorial & just follow with me.

Hello,
I was wondering if you can help me out. I have a software plugin bundle i am try to combine but am not sure what im doing wrong. there are 4 files that i believe need to be joined. They are unix files but are named .zip.001,002,003 & 004. I don’t know if that matters. So I tried following your video using terminal but all it did was make a text file. How do I make this work. Help Please
